Wine Uncovered vinAR is a smart phone application which connects winemakers and their wineries with the wine lovers using an augmented reality. Application facilitates wine selection and purchase and creates a new sales channel for wine makers. Following the scanning of a wine bottle label or a wine catalogue a number of features become available to application users: Overview/search for wine and wineries Region/country based overview/search for wineries Additional information on wines and wineries not included on a bottle label Display of a region of wine origin Shows awards for each individual wine (if any) Direct (phone/email) contact to any winery from the application Direct purchase through application Display of a video material selected by wineries Personalised application for the specific winery A word from sommelier
